Bordered only by the rushing river rapids that tumble south-southeast, the grassy plains roll on easily, forever to the west and opening up to the rougher scrubland to the south. The grass is thick and rich, fed by the roiling river, and the trees are tall and broad. The further south from the water, the shorter and more coarse the vegetation, and far beyond the horizon's edge ripples the hot and dusty glow of the desert sands.
