The geography is never quite the same, for the scorching breeze constantly blows the tiny grains of sand to form new dunes and erase all traces of passage. Only the most rugged of creatures lives here, and large predators are not among them. The horizon is barren of trees or greenery, and in no cardinal direction is there a single sign of salvation.
