OOC - Many apologies. Taking a bit longer to recover from family stuff than I thought. So very tired. xD;
There is a brief second where Adetukunbo's eyes flicker away from the porcupine as her cousin joins in on the battle against the quilled creature. Skilled huntresses, they have no need for words. Everything on a hunt can be conveyed through a simple flick of an ear, twitch of a tail or blink of an eye. Ade' snarls as the porcupine rattles its quills at her one last time before turning its focus on Imani.
Now, Adetukunbo has the porcupine's unprotected head facing her direction. The lioness pauses only for a moment, allowing the porcupine to still be focused on its backward shuffle in Imani's direction and attempting to stick her before darting forward quickly, jaws parting to snag the troublesome thing. As her jaws shut again, it is with the satisfying crunch of teeth against bone and the metallic tang of blood against her tongue. Ade' remains locked on the porcupine for several long moments, wanting to be sure that she's choked the life out of it, before dropping the porcupine unceremoniously to the ground and pulling a face of disgust.
"Ugh! Don't know where that thing has been, but it tastes like it just crawled out of a dung pile! Uck!"

Turn, step, shuffle-shuffle, sweep, and side-step.
Were it only that graceful. Imani's backpeddle is quick but crude, and it doesn't spare her, too, a quick shot of quills to her lower foreleg and paw before her pride sister manages to stop the porcupine's backward momentum with a quick, but far from painless, snap of her teeth. There is a moment of strained silence, a hot dusty breeze swirling around the paws of those gathered and coating each in a light film, before Adetukunbo's jest breaks through her unease. Though her paw is beginning to ache and itch, what with its new adornment of quills, Imani's muzzle blooms into the smallest of smiles. She approaches the dead creature, ears pinning back in confirmation of her cousin's exclamation, before she bends her head and noses the others' shoulder.
"It probably did," she teases lightly. "Lucky you."
Attempting to hide her smirk, Imani focuses her eyes back on the young prince not too far away on his vantage point. The sorry site manages to curb her humor and with a flick of her tail the 'adult' switch is turned back on.
"Amadi, come here." And after a thoughtful moment. "Please."

OOC: I'm so sorry, guys. I've been out of state and have had extremely limited access to the internet for the last few weeks, so I haven't been able to write any posts. D: I'm back home now so I'll be around a lot more often.
Amadi flinches when the porcupine catches Imani a glancing blow too. No matter that it can't pose a life-threatening risk to something as big as a grown lioness; the quills look awful and Amadi's face is throbbing and, oh dear, he is going to be in so much trouble for this, isn't he? He doubts that 'It didn't look so pointy when I was teasing it earlier!' will go over so well--even if Imani and Adetukunbo accept it, will his parents?
It's a very guilty-looking boy who rises and approaches the two females. His head and feet drag and he gives the porcupine's body a wide berth despite the fact that it won't be harming anyone now, as if he suspects it's only playing dead. He moves slowly and avoids looking either of them in the eye.
He racks his brain for something clever to say, but all he can come up with is, "I didn't know it could do that!" And he looks so shocked and miserable with the quills bristling out of his face that it's clear he's not lying.
