[Ade told me I could just go ahead and post my profile up in this section, but if something needs changing let me know. ^^ The history section will probably be filled in once I know what his parents are like, if that's all right, since they'd have significant influence on it.]
Name: Amadi
Meaning: Means "seemed destined to die at birth" in Yoruba; also "free man" in Igbo.
Parents: Ikenna x Nakato
Siblings: Jelane, Wasswa, Ayzize, Nia, Thulile
Species: African Lion
Gender: Male
Age: Juvenile
Personality/Traits: Energetic, intelligent, and determined are all adjectives that describe Amadi well, and this combination of qualities can lead to either the delight or frustration of his elders depending on the situation. He might cleverly dig a rat out of its hole and parade it triumphantly to his mother; he might, on the other hand, figure out how to scale a tree to its highest branches and then find himself unable to get back down. He's bold, brimming with the reckless confidence of youth, and, while quite capable of thinking ahead, will often have the glimmerings of an idea, plunge into it, and trust that he'll figure the specifics out later. He is, above all else, still a cub, and therefore prone to acting on impulse.
He's a social boy, attached not only to his immediate family but to the pride as a whole as well, and particularly idolises his father and uncles despite his instinctive wariness of older males. However, it's the lionesses with whom he spends the majority of his time, and his siblings.
History: In progress! I'd prefer to wait until he's got another family member or two to start really fleshing things out, since I don't know what his parents and siblings are like yet.
Description: Amadi is tall for his age, leggy and slender; he's caught in the extended growth spurt between cubhood and adolescence and his body mass hasn't yet managed to catch up with his skeleton. Huge ears frame his amber-eyed face, which is beginning to take on the long-muzzled, well-known profile of an older lion as he sheds the roundness of his early youth. He seems to be primarily made up of sharp angles and whippy agility at this point, with none of the bulkiness that an adult male would display.
His pelt is a tawny gold that shines in the sun when groomed, broken, still, with fading spots on his belly and legs. Paler fur marks the underside of his body and also lines his eyes; this contrast emphasises them and makes them seem darker than they really are. His head is mottled with darker patches, perhaps the beginning of what will one day be his mane.
