Tense?

I don't think this has been mentioned anywhere. If it has, I apologise. ^^; I'm a little confused--what's the preferred tense for Mnara, past or present? I've been using present tense in my posts because I'm used to it, but if the standard is past tense I'd like to stick to that, so I figured I'd ask. :o

Good question. I use present tense because I come from a MU* background. Is past tense more appropriate for forum RP?

I also use present tense by default, just because it's what I'm used to thanks to a MUCKing background. Although I do sometimes slip up and go into past when my typing works faster than my brain.

I tend to restrict myself to past because when I start writing in the present, I invariably switch over to past halfway through it and have to go back and change it all. Past comes more naturally to me, which likely has something to do with the fact that most of the books I read are ... well ... past tense. *shrug* I know that some forums actually require a certain tense, but...

There really is no preset. I tend to use present because I'm used to MU*s as well, but using past is fine <3

Using present progressive, now, that's a challenge... well, not really XD But again, there's no set one way or the other.
